The Grand Igloo wishes all members, if they haven’t already done so, to fill out these important forms and turn in two (2) copies of each to their individual Igloo’s secretary. 

The secretaries are to attach one (1) copy to that person’s original application and one (1) copy is to be mailed/e-mailed to the Linda Conley, Grand Recorder P.O. Box 10523, Fairbanks AK 99710. 

This second copy will be placed in the Grand Igloo’s archives.  Both of these forms provide valuable historical information.

The participation of each Igloo is needed.  We must carry out the object of our organization, which is “to preserve the names of all Alaska’s pioneers on its rolls; to collect and preserve the ... incidents of Alaska’s history.  Through doing so the Pioneers of Alaska are able to preserve that important part of our member’s history.

The Generational History of Alaskan Pioneers form can also be used as an update form for those who already filled it out in the past, but have added grandchildren, great-grandchildren, remarried, had family members die, etc.  Please note on the form that the information is an update.

Some Igloos attach a copy of the Generation History of Alaskan Pioneers form to their applications for each new member to fill out when they apply for membership.   This might be something your Igloo might want to do, if they are not already doing do.  Or you can use other methods to get new members to fill this form out. 

For present members you may wish to do a mailout or have information given on how to fill these forms out at one of your regular or social meetings.  Any method that works for you it fine.
